The criteria for membership are below.
Full Membership:
- Obtained a minimum of 40 didactic training hours specific to DBT (obtained through Continuing Education hours, Workshops, Seminars, Didactic training hours, etc);
- Currently engages in DBT work or has been involved in DBT work, or has demonstrated experience in DBT which meets the Boards’ satisfaction;
- Possesses recognised tertiary qualifications in the disciplines of psychology, medicine, education, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech therapy, dentistry or nursing; and
- Lives and/or works in the Asia Pacific region.
Associate Membership:
- Is currently engaged in, or has previously been engaged in, activities related to DBT (including clinical work, research, advocacy, education, lived experience, or family/caregiver involvement) to the satisfaction of the Board; and
- Lives and/or works in the Asia Pacific region.
An Associate Member may, upon meeting the relevant criteria, apply to become a Full Member.
