Membership and Joining APAC-DBT

We welcome membership from DBT practitioners in our region.

Membership offers the following benefits:

  • Updates from an annual APAC-DBT newsletter

  • Advertisement of professional events (e.g., DBT training in different Asia Pacific countries/territories; virtual DBT consultation teams) on our website

Join us as an APAC-DBT member:

The criteria for membership are below.

Full Membership:

  1. Obtained a minimum of 40 didactic training hours specific to DBT (obtained through Continuing Education hours, Workshops, Seminars, Didactic training hours, etc);
  2. Currently engages in DBT work or has been involved in DBT work, or has demonstrated experience in DBT which meets the Boards’ satisfaction;
  3. Possesses recognised tertiary qualifications in the disciplines of psychology, medicine, education, social work, occupational therapy, nursing, physiotherapy, speech therapy, dentistry or nursing; and
  4. Lives and/or works in the Asia Pacific region.

Associate Membership:

  1. Is currently engaged in, or has previously been engaged in, activities related to DBT (including clinical work, research, advocacy, education, lived experience, or family/caregiver involvement) to the satisfaction of the Board; and
  2. Lives and/or works in the Asia Pacific region.

An Associate Member may, upon meeting the relevant criteria, apply to become a Full Member.

If you are not able to become a member or don’t want to, you may sign-up as a guest for free. This gives you event access, though fees may apply and our members may receive priority registration. It will not give you access to member-only content.

SWANA Member

A temporary membership category for people living and working in specific countries of the SWANA region (Southwest Asia and North Africa). We are offering this membership to assist those in the SWANA region to participate in a World DBT Association chapter while a new chapter is still under development for their region.
