This is a platform for our members to gather and discuss research ideas and topics within the field of DBT. Study projects at any stage of development (e.g., preparation for grant application, all the way to data analysis or manuscript writing) can be presented in an environment where everyone is willing to be open about their challenges and seek and/or provide consultation (similar to a therapist consultation team).
Each consultation slot is 25 minutes. Presenters will prepare brief slides for a 10-minute presentation, followed by 15 minutes of consultation and discussion with the group. It is important that presenters lead with 1 to 3 consultation questions to guide discussion.
It is hoped that this forum will serve to facilitate opportunities for new DBT-research collaborations to be formed within the Asia-Pacific region.
Who is this for?
This is an exclusive members-only event that gathers researchers, clinician-scientists and academics interested in advancing research on DBT. Associate members, such as students who are researching on DBT and its related topics, are also welcome.
APAC-DBT members, Dr Emily Cooney (New Zealand) and Dr Michelle Tan (Singapore) will be facilitating the session.
In the spirit of openness and collaboration, we encourage all attendees to be involved in the consultation process. If you would like to learn about current research in the region or connect with other APAC-DBT members but do not currently have a study project to present, we warmly invite you to join us and contribute to discussion and consultation. You will be asked to sign an agreement (all presenters would have also done so) to provide consultation.
