Research Forum

What is a research forum?
This is a platform for our members to gather and discuss research ideas and topics within the field of DBT. Study projects at any stage of development (e.g., preparation for grant application, all the way to data analysis or manuscript-writing) can be presented in an environment where everyone is willing to be open about their challenges and seek and/or provide consultation (this is similar to a therapist consultation team).
Each consultation slot is 15 minutes. Presenters will prepare brief slides for a 5-minute sharing. It is important that you lead with 1 to 3 consultation questions. The larger group will function as a consultation team, and spend 10 minutes in discussion to address your consultation needs.
It is hoped that this forum will serve to facilitate opportunities for new DBT-research collaborations to be formed within the Asia-Pacific region.
Who is this for?
This is an exclusive members-only event that gathers researchers, clinician-scientists and academics interested in advancing research on DBT. Associate members, such as students who are researching on DBT and its related topics, are also welcome.
APAC-DBT members, Dr Emily Cooney (New Zealand) and Dr Michelle Tan (Singapore) will be facilitating the session.
In order to set up a culture that encourages transparency, we encourage everyone who attends to be involved in preparing a presentation. If you would like to be informed about the research in our region or to connect with other APAC-DBT members but do not currently have any study project for consultation, we request that you join us for the forum! You will be asked to sign an agreement (all presenters would have also done so) to provide consultation.
